Business Development Manager Position Overview:
Solar Technology International aims to expand its footprint beyond the traditional leisure sector by venturing into new and diverse markets. The Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in driving this growth. The role's primary objective is to identify, develop and secure new business opportunities, generating significant revenue whilst fostering strong relationships with new and existing clients. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to exceed sales targets, penetrate untapped markets and contribute to the company's overall strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities of a Business Development Manager:
Research and identify new business opportunities in diverse markets, trends, and customer segments
Develop comprehensive sales plans to exceed targets and penetrate new markets
Plan and execute strategic sales campaigns, ensuring a robust pipeline of opportunities
Negotiate and finalise agreements with clients, closing new business deals
Conduct sales forecasts, analyse, and present findings to senior management
Generate leads, conduct cold calls, and establish meaningful contacts within organisations
Cultivate and maintain client relationships, understanding their needs and proposing effective solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and marketing, to drive business objectives
Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities
Maintain detailed records of activities and report on performance metrics regularly
Skills and Qualifications required of a Business Development Manager:
Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets
