The benefits of ETFE
Featuring a tough, double-sided, laminated outer layer, the 125W Flexi ETFE solar panel is designed and built for durability. High weather and corrosion resistant, the panel is IP67 rated and tested to ASTM B117 - ISO9227. That’s proven exposure to saltwater spray for more than 1000 hours as well as accelerated Ultraviolet (UV) testing to ISO 4892.
The dimpled surface pattern in our ETFE Flexi panels deliver excellent light transmission to the high efficiency monocrystalline solar cells maximising solar power generation.
The panels are suitable for flat and slightly curved surfaces and perfect for campervans and leisure vehicle roofs where panel weight needs to be minimised.
Completely waterproof
Each panel is assembled to ensure complete encapsulation. This ensures the six layer heavy duty laminate protects the solar cell circuit from extreme conditions. The junction box is also injected with special silicon, guaranteeing no water ingress.
Superior design
There are no square edges on a PV Logic flexi solar panel! Rounded panel corners and a unique curved junction box provide superior adhesion, no snag lamination and no sharp edges. The junction box is mechanically fixed in addition to being bonded to the panel. Strain relief is provided for the fitted 0.9m UV stabilised PV cable ensuring it cannot be accidentally pulled from the junction box.
Easy fix
The flexi range can be bonded to flat or slight curved surfaces (3cm curve per metre) such as painted aluminium, metal, GRP and fibreglass using Teroson MS939
Installation method
Please only use the glue pattern below for land based vehicles (this is covered in more detail in the instructions), which ensures air flow under the panel is achieved preventing heat build-up and potential warping under extreme heat.
Taking control
The 125W ETFE flexi kit includes a 20A PWM charge controller. There is an option to upgrade to the 15A MPPT Pro charge controller. Both are capable of charging 12V and 24V batteries.
The MPPT Pro charge controller increases solar yield by up to 20% over a standard charge controller by artificially modifying the voltage from s solar panel system to actively match any battery's requirements. This means that whatever the weather conditions your panels will deliver maximum power with minimum electrical loss.
The MPPT charge controller comes with its very own free-to-download Bluetooth app (Apple and Android) to display how the solar system is performing.
