The second generation of the PV Logic MPPT Pro charge controller has been designed to deliver the highest possible power from any 12V or 24V solar panel into a 12V or 24V battery. Multi Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology increases solar yield by up to 20% over a standard Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) charge controller by artificially modifying the voltage coming from the solar panel. It does this by actively matching it to suit the battery's requirements based on its current charge level. This advanced algorithm ensures that a solar panel array will deliver the maximum power to a battery and with minimum electrical losses, whatever the weather conditions.

In addition to its high performance, the second generation of MPPT Pro provides charging and voltage protection for single and dual-battery charge systems, regardless of the battery chemistry. By default, whether charging two leisure batteries or a leisure battery and a vehicle battery, the MPPT Pro concentrates power on the battery connected to its BAT1 terminals until that battery is around 70% charged. It then switches to charging the engine battery connected to BAT2, bringing it up to around 70% charge, then alternates between the batteries until fully charged.

To ensure you have complete visibility of how your solar system is performing, a free Bluetooth App has been developed; search for pvmobilesuite in your device's app store. This app links to the current and previous generations of MPPT Pro, allowing Apple or Android system users to see how their solar panels and batteries are performing.

The second generation of MPPT Pro provides battery protection against overcharging for any solar panel or solar array up to 225W and is an excellent choice for new installations or upgrades to existing solar systems. Whether for leisure (caravan, motorhome, boat), industrial, or solar off-grid systems, it will more than pay back its cost through the extra power it delivers.

New features (compared to previous generation)

Twin charging profiles - Manage two distinct battery types effortlessly with individual charging profiles, ensuring that both a leisure LiFePO4 battery and an AGM engine battery are charged correctly based on their chemistry.
Battery priority swapping - This new feature enables users to prioritise charging the engine battery over the leisure battery, ensuring that the alarm and tracker do not drain the engine battery when the vehicle is unused during the off-season.
LiFePO4 battery wake function - Some LiFePO4 batteries may enter a "sleep" mode when no current flows, so the new automatic pulse feature is designed to "wake" the BMS once solar power becomes available to the controller.
Firmware updates - The updated PVMobileSuite app now features a firmware update function, enabling users with the new V2 controller to receive free firmware updates as they become available. (Uses cellular or Wi-Fi data)
Reboot / Reset button - Users can now reboot the controller without unplugging any cables to refresh Bluetooth® connectivity. Additionally, if the password is forgotten or the vehicle changes ownership, the controller can easily be restored to factory defaults.

Any goods supplied must be returned to the address above at your own expense within the seven days of your notice to cancel. Providing the goods are returned in their original, unused condition and the packaging is undamaged, you will receive a full refund of the price of the goods within 30 days of us receiving the goods back.
